Oxford - Thessaloniki

Vacations into the limbo of the Middle West
and anonymous places, the epitome of what we call civilization
with human reactions real & new speeches surreal
'it was a pleasure', 'my pleasure' and the enjoyment of kindness
crave the types, tha archetypes & the stereotypes
the familiar never fades, it's the unbearable habits
some recognise as manners
and the instant weeps, escorted by sonorous words
and sad promises wave goodbye
time to see my sea again
and arrive in the place where departures are numerous
and stay, consuming memories & recalling histories
lands of dreams give way to skys of freedom
where people are always beginning and beginning their lives

inspired and quotes taken from the poem If You Get There Before I Do by Dick Allen
